In creating The World is My Classroom, I realized that one major element of my experiences in the U.S. and overseas that was missing from the discussion was my passion for sports and desire to elevate the women's game in small ways wherever I go.

From playing soccer with kids in the villages of Thailand to coaching a girls middle and high school soccer team in Ivory Coast, I have done my best to be a living representative of the joy of sports for girls and women around the world.

At home in San Diego, I have been a volunteer coach for my son's soccer team, was a founding member of the Sirens Supporter Group for the San Diego Wave, and am an avid listener of sports podcasts and watcher of sports documentaries. I love the stories behind the athletes!

Pitch Progress is my way of adding my voice to supporting equity for women in sports, elevating the game, and spreading the words of wisdom I've gleaned from women in sports and other leadership positions to those who don't read books or podcast through inspirational attire.
